Phuket Bound

I just officially booked my trip to Phuket for my October break.

I am so excited to be training at Sinbi Muay Thai for 2 weeks and 3 days. This will be my first time training at a camp for more than a few days. Dan will be heading to Koh Lanta to train at a gym there and enjoy the beautiful beach. I opted to train at a gym with a stronger female presence. I haven’t really been able to train with anyone my size the entire time I’ve been here and I cannot wait! I am really nervous, too. Solo trippin and going to a gym where I don’t know a single person is pretty nerve-wrecking for me. This doesn’t change how excited I am, in a way it makes me more excited. For roughly 2 whole weeks, I can just zone out and train, focus on improving and learning new things. Then come back to KPP stronger, fitter, refreshed, refocused, and ready to fight in November. (November 1st.. to be exact… I think.. maybe.)

But first, I need to get my butt in shape NOW. I have been in a bit of a rut lately. And by a bit, I mean, A HUGEMASSIVEMONTANASIZED rut. School and personal health things have been weighing me down and training has just seemed absolutely dreadful, but NO MORE. As Taylor Swift says, “I’m just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake. I shake it off, I shake it off.” (On a side note, now that Taylor Swift has accepted she is NOT country and she is a pop thing, I can accept her again back in my life and sing her catchy new song shaking around my apartment at the top of my lungs.)

And now that I’ve shook, shook, shook it off, I am STOKED about going to Phuket and I want to be ready when I get there to give it my best. I’ve got 3 weeks to get movin and shakin, kickin and punchin. I am going to start on Monday with 2x a day training of some sort. I say Monday because tonight I think Dan and I will go on a mini pub crawl of some kind with some great new people we met a few weeks ago. Then Monday starts clean eating/drinking, good amount of sleep, and training, training, training. Oh and yanno, still gotta work and give my students knowledge of things.

Any workout circuit suggestions out there?
I have a few in mind, but variety would be amazing.

Getting back to training, but still having fun & being weird.
